UF1 RC Fenix has released a new 1:10 scale Formula 1 kit – the Mistral. This car features tons of carbon fiber and shiny aluminum to create a wicked looking machine.
Up front, the Mistral uses carbon fiber lower arms that can be tuned to different stiffness levels. All the important tuning options are also there; caster, camber, ride height and toe.
Moving to the center of the chassis, the Mistral’s 2.5mm CF chassis offers 3 different positions to mount your battery:
• Position 1: Inline – this is the standard system while using a shorty LiPo
• Position 2: Across the chassis; front – mount your shorty LiPo across and towards the front of the chassis
• Position 3: Across the chassis; rear – mount your shorty LiPo across and towards the rear of the chassis, 10mm back from Position 2.
This interesting new battery setup shifts the weight forward or backward enough to change weight bias and affect handling. But wait, if you want to add more weight than just that of the battery, you can mount additional weight to the bottom of the LiPo. The chassis has swooping cuts that allow the weight to be added without interfering with it.
