UF1 Series – BONUS POINTS | UF1 RC

UF1 Series - BONUS POINTS | UF1 RC

In an added attempt to keep the Formula 1 class cars looking as scale as possible, we’ll be implementing a new Bonus Points system. This system will credit each driver that has certain scale items on their car an additional 3 points PER RACE DAY!

Here’s how it works – prior to qualifying, each driver eligible for the additional 3 points will bring their car over and show it to either Tony Phalen or Ken Gerberding. At that point, we’ll mark you down as earning the Bonus Points for that day.

So what makes your car eligible?

You must have these 3 items on your car:

This is an easy one – it can be a current F1 scheme, vintage F1 scheme or something you made up – as long as it looks like something someone would actually run as an F1 team livery. So, yeah, no flames, drips, scallops or Pokemon.

2. Tire Decals
Everyone loves tire decals – they add that little extra something to the look of your F1 car. There are quite a few different versions out there – any of them will do. Keep an eye out for the UF1 tire decals coming soon!

3. Permanent Car Number
If you’re in the F1 class, you’ve been assigned a permanent F1 number. If you forgot what it was, you can find it here – Permanent Car Number. It’s your number that no one else in the F1 class can run, so be proud and add it to your ride!

1. Halo
This item is a 3D-printed part that can be found online. It can be sanded and painted to match your F1 livery. It will also protect your 1:10 scale driver in the event of a crash. Check out Nicola670Paint for more info (contact him directly through FB for ordering and pricing).

2. Brake Light
Every F1 car has a rear wing that will accept a rear brake light – one end of the LED plugs into your receiver, the other into a hole in the rear wing. Most blink, some are solid. It doesn’t really matter which you have as long as there is light coming from it. Again, you can find these online for a couple bucks.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s killer looking cars next season!
