Update to UF1 Rules Regarding Race Penalties

As you all know, there is a quick tech-inspection for the top 3 cars after each ‘main’ event. During this time, we check for vehicle width and weight.

During Round 2 of the 2018 UF1 Winter Series, we had a driver tech under weight after his race. I’m pretty sure he lost some weights on his car during an on-track collision, but the fact of the matter is he was out of spec. Unfortunately, there were never any ramifications posted should a drivers car be underweight or two wide, so we had to come up with a quick decision.

However, from this point on, if a driver’s car comes off the track and is deemed illegal, you will receive a disqualification for that round. The website has been updated with this rule as well.

It is extremely important that your vehicle is within spec. As always, the carbon width board and scale will both be available for you to check your cars so please make sure your weights are taped on and your width is correct. This is your warning.
